EVENT LOG:

TIME: 9:45 P.M    DESCRIPTION: EMF SPIKE NEAR LARGE TREE 50 FT.IN FRONT OF RAIL
FENCE-EXTREME RIGHT FLANK OF CONFEDERATE LINES.
TIME: 10:15 P.M.
DESCRIPTION: VISUAL SIGHTING OF A SHADOW PERSON ALONG THE FENCE ROW WHERE
THE CONFEDERATE FORCES TOOK COVER BY SHAWN AND MYSELF. IT WAS HEADED IN A
SOUTHERN DIRECTION.
TIME: 10:26 P.M.
DESCRIPTION: UPON COMMAND, ORB APPEARED BETWEEN ERIC AND SHAWN
AT THE SAME TIME AS AN EMF SPIKE.
TIME: 10:45 P.M.
DESCRIPTION: SHAWN’S PHONE STARTED TO  FLICKER WHEN ERIC READ A
SYNPOSIS OF THE BATTLE ALOUD TO THE SPIRITS.


INVESTIGATION SYNOPSIS

THIS INVESTIGATION WAS A SOMBERING EXPERIENCE, KNOWING THAT OVER A THOUSAND
MEN DIED ON THE GROUND WHERE I STOOD. ROSE, LINDA, AND COBY STARTED THE
INVESTIGATION IN THE CONFEDERATE MASS GRAVE, AND SHAWN, ERIC AND I STARTED AT
THE TOP OF HEIGHTS WHERE THE UNION ARTILLERY ANCHORED THEIR LEFT FLANK, AND
WHERE A LARGE MAJORITY OF THE CONFEDERATE ARMY CASUALTIES WERE SUSTAINED.
AS WE STOOD AT THE CREST OF THE HILL WAITING FOR THE SUN TO SET, WE ATTEMPTED
VERBALLY CONTACT THE SPIRIT OF BRIGADIER GENERAL JAMES S. JACKSON, WHO FELL
THERE. AT 9:45 ERIC HAD APPROACHED THE CONFEDERATE LINES ON THEIR EXTREME
RIGHT FLANK AND GOT SOME EMF SPIKES NEAR A TREE ABOUT A QUARTER OF THE WAY
UP THE HEIGHTS.  SHAWN AND I OBSERVED THERE WHAT APPEARED TO BE A SHADOW
PERSON AT 10:15 HEADING OFF TO OUR RIGHT ALONG THE FENCE ROW WHERE THE
CONFEDERATED ATTEMPTED TO TAKE COVER DURING A HORRIFIC UNION ARTILLERY
BARRAGE. A LITTLE LATER I ASKED ANY SPIRITS TO APPEAR IN SHAWN’S HAND ON THE
COUNT OF THREE. AT THREE, THE EMF METER WENT OFF AND I GOT A PICTURE OF A
BRIGHT ORB BETWEEN ERIC AND SHAWN.

















AFTER THAT SHAWN’S PHONE STARTED TO FLICKER WHEN ERIC READ THE STORY OF THE
BATTLE IN THE KILLING GROUND BELOW THE HEIGHTS. COBY CAME BY AND WE DECIDED
IT WAS TIME TO CHANGE AREAS WITH THE OTHER GROUP. WE THEN COMPARED NOTES,
DOWNLOADED THE PICS WE HAD, THEN MOVED ON TO THE CONFEDERATE MASS GRAVE,
WHERE WE SET UP AGAIN. I SET UP MY AUDIO ON THE UNION MARKER, ASKING FOR
PERMISSION FIRST, AND TRIED TO GET A FEEL FOR THE AREA, WHICH HAD A SENSE OF
PEACE TO ME. I CAUGHT NOTHING ON AUDIO OR ON PICTURE HERE, AND HAD NO
OCCURENCES AT ALL.

INVESTIGATOR’S PRELIMINARY REPORT:

Place:  Perryville Battlefield State Historic Park
Time:  Approximately 4:00 p.m. through 1:30 a.m.


Coby and I arrived at the park at approximately 4:00 p.m.  We went through the museum
wherein two employees related stories of activity inside the museum, as well as activity in the
mass grave and Sink Hole Valley where the sound of horses running could be heard.

We spent an hour walking around the grounds, reading the plaques and during this time I
carried my gauss meter, but recorded no activity.  At one point while sitting at the picnic table I
felt a presence behind me that placed it’s hand on my shoulder.  Coby took a picture but it
produced no results.

I continued to “feel” the presence of a large group of beings sitting on a hill to my left.  Later
pictures show a haze in this area, although no haze was noticeable with the naked eye.  (See
images).  This haze is also noticeable on the video film over this same area from a different
direction, although no haze was noticeable with the naked eye. (see photo taken from video
film).(roses note; the mist is in the photo in the area marked 1A)
I feel this could have been the way the sun was shining but then I’m not sure the sun was still
there at the time the video was shot.  Twice during the period of time I felt I saw this “haze”
following one of the investigators, although the photos did not reveal it.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. the group broke into two teams and Coby, myself and Rose
proceeded to the mass grave to begin our investigation. I entered the mass grave while Coby
videoed.  About 1 minute into the video there is the sound of either a woman or young man
speaking, and then another man after that.

The audio is poor, however the words spoken are distinct.  Investigator is not going to say
what is being said, as it is apparent and should be no problem to be heard.  Coby and I spent
time discussing this in order to attempt to debunk the audio.  There were no other people in
the park, and there were no other men in this area other than Coby.  The voices are different
in cadence and sound than the voices of myself, Coby and Rose when speaking.  They sound
almost as if they’re coming from a hole or somewhere below the camera.  Coby was at this time
setting the camera up on top of the rock fence, so there is a lot of external noise, however it
did not mask the voices totally.

I continued to listen to the remainder of the tape paying special attention to the sound of Coby,
Rose and myself when at a distance from the camcorder.  The camcorder would pick up our
voices from approximately 50 feet, however they were indistinct and not easily
understandable.  Yet they still did not sound in any way like the voices on the beginning of the
tape.

Shortly after this (perhaps 5 to 10 minutes) a picture outside the wall right near where the
camcorder was sitting shows 2 orbs.  One large and one smaller.  I make no assumptions about
this other than this appears to be the only picture captured in this area that contains any orbs.

Rose also noted about 10 minutes later that she heard the sound of a woman’s voice (nothing
shows up on the camcorder here) and possible sounds of horses hooves.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. Coby, myself and Rose went to an area to the right of the mass
grave sight that was surrounded by forest.  At one point I heard and felt heavy breathing
behind me.  I assumed it was Rose, but when I turned I saw Rose standing with Coby about 25
to 30 feet away.  I held my breath, but the breathing continued.  Rose also stood in this spot
and the breathing she heard did not match her own breathing.  No EMF spikes occurred.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. about 10 feet from where the breathing was experienced the EMF
spiked and I felt as if I had been plunged into ice water.  This feeling of cold lasted only about a
minute, however when I stated it was getting warmer Rose stated it was getting colder in her
area (about 10 to 15 feet away).

It is interesting to note that our camera would not take pictures in this area, especially not in
certain directions into the forest.  While using the camcorder I noted a figure in the forest, and
stated on film so that when reviewing I would know the exact spot where this occurred.  I also
noted when the figure left.  Upon review of the film this entire section is nothing more than a
blur as if the camcorder went totally out of focus.  I can hear myself say “there are you are” and
“oh, you left”.  However the film is totally out of focus and shows nothing.  I did not touch the
video camera or move it in any way during this period and there is no plausible explanation for
the blurring.  However, as with the digital camera this has happened before when entities
were present.  The film will show the camera out of focus even though at the time I am using it,
it’s perfectly clear.

I have reviewed the entire film, and there is nothing on the film I would consider usable as
evidence.  It is simply too blurred or dark.  Although there may be what appear to be shadows I
would not use it for evidence.

There is one more interesting piece of audio in which it sounds as if guns are being shot and
someone yells.  I am still working on this audio, however as there were fireworks being shot
off I do not feel it is possible for us to validate it.  It does not sound like fireworks, but could be
a group of fireworks being set off at the same time.  Therefore I do not feel it is possible to
validate this piece of audio as paranormal.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. Coby, Rose and myself returned to the Pavillion.  Coby left to join
Shawn, Eric and Scotty who later returned to the Pavillion.  At approximately 12:00 midnight we
changed places and Coby, Rose and myself went to the fence to investigate.  Although we
received several EMF spikes here my pictures and video reveal nothing unusual.

I have about 30 more minutes of film from the fence area to watch and listen too and I will
supplement this report once that has been finalized.  I also want to run the video film through
a “clean up process” to see if it’s possible to make it clearer in the area of the forest.  This
takes an extreme amount of time (1 hour per 1 minute piece of video), but the results are
usually very good.  I will do this in the next two weeks and supplement this report at that time.
